PSE&G has completed emergency repairs of a gas leak on South Street near the Green, Morristown police reported on Saturday morning, Oct. 3, 2026.

After the leak and subsequent repairs prompted closure and detours on Friday, “the roadway is reopened in both directions,” police said in an alert.

The repairs come just in time for Sunday’s Festival on the Morristown Green, rescheduled from last weekend’s nor’easter.
