Flood Watch for Greater Morristown, Aug. 27

A flood watch remains in effect for Greater Morristown from noon today, Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, through late this evening. From the National Weather Service:

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop by mid-day
Thursday. Some of these showers and thunderstorms are
expected to produce very heavy rainfall. Rainfall totals of
1-2 inches of rain can be expected with localized amounts of
3-5 inches possible in the strongest storms. Rainfall rates
within these thunderstorms may reach up to 1 to 3 inches per
hour at times.
