The election is over.
Now time for some real fireworks.
At 6 pm this Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, fireworks postponed by September’s nor’easter get a do-over in Morristown. They are sponsored by Sanofi as part of Living History Weekend, an America 250 celebration that’s also rescheduled for Saturday.
Prime viewing locations for the fireworks are Cauldwell Park, Pioneer Park at HQ Plaza, and the Morristown Green, said Fire Chief Robert Flanagan.
Fireworks will be launched from the parking lot at Bishop Nazery Way near the Whippany River. They will be visible downtown because of larger shells that fly higher than usual, the chief said.

“They’re shooting five-inch shells,” instead of the standard two- or three-inch versions, Flanagan said. A test-firing was conducted in October, he said.
But wait: There’s more.
Tours at the Ford Mansion and Museum start at 10 am. The Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, Sansay House and Masonic Hall will welcome visitors until 4 pm. Revolutionary re-enactors will be on hand at the Woman’s Club of Morristown between 11 am and 3 pm.
The Green also will host the Market Street Mission’s annual winter coat giveaway between 10 am and 1 pm on Saturday. And on Sunday at 3 pm, the Mayo Performing Arts Center presents the Lovin’ Feelin’ Farewell Tour of the Righteous Brothers, personal favorites of General Washington.
Sorry, all these elections take their toll.
