Sanofi makes products to treat all kinds of conditions. But it can’t cure weather conditions.
As meteorologists track a nor’easter forming offshore, Morristown officials Thursday pulled the plug on Sanofi-sponsored fireworks planned for this Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, as part of an America 250 “Living History Weekend.”
“The safety of our residents, families, and guests is our top priority,” said a statement from the town. “As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we look forward to gathering together to mark this special occasion. We hope to reschedule the fireworks soon. Please stay tuned for the new date and details!”
As of Wednesday, the other Living History Weekend events were scheduled to continue, rain or shine, according to Morris County’s America 250 chairperson, Sarah Neibart. The same goes for Sunday’s annual Festival on the Green, per the Morristown Partnership website on Thursday.
The National Weather Service is predictingthe Shore will be hardest hit by the weekend storm; Saturday and Sunday may be cool and soggy in Morristown. That’s the word on Thursday afternoon. With any luck, the forecast will improve. Stay tuned.
