The Forum on the Green, a community conversation series hosted by The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, will welcome musician and songwriter Ryan Nealon for Ryan Nealon: An Evening of Stories Worth Singing on Sept. 30, 2026.
Part concert, part conversation, and part reflection, the evening will feature original music and storytelling as Nealon shares his journey through loss, loneliness, relationships, resilience, and healing.
Accompanied by musician Matteo Scher, Nealon will perform songs inspired by his own life experiences, including being orphaned as a child, navigating body dysmorphia, and finding music as a way to process difficult experiences and make meaning from them.
The event is part of the Forum on the Green’s ongoing series, Belonging in the Age of Loneliness, which explores the growing reality of loneliness and social isolation in modern life. Through speakers, lived experiences, and community dialogue, the series seeks to better understand the causes of loneliness and how individuals and communities can foster deeper connection and belonging.
“Ryan’s story reminds us that while hardship is part of the human experience, we don’t have to navigate it alone,” said Daniel Vigilante, pastor at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown.
“His music creates space for honest conversations about grief, identity, resilience, and the relationships that help us move forward. We are excited to welcome him to Morristown and continue this important community dialogue.”
Throughout the evening, Nealon will share the stories behind his songs, offering audiences an opportunity to reflect on their own experiences and consider how creativity, connection, and community can help people move through life’s most difficult seasons. Following the performance, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a facilitated audience question-and-answer session.
The Forum on the Green was created to bring people together around timely topics that impact individual and community well-being. Previous events have explored mental health, loneliness, belonging, and the importance of meaningful connection in an increasingly disconnected world.
