THURSDAY, MAY 9, 2024:

Free yoga is back at the Morristown & Township Library, at 10 am, and every Thursday. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents a sensory-friendly performance of Charlotte’s Web at 4 pm. Tickets: $15-$20. At 100 South St., Morristown, 973-539-8008.

Jazz favorite Grover Kemble performs at Rockaway’s Caffé NaVona, 147 Route 46, from 6 – 9 pm. Hear him play songs from his new album, I’m Serious.

Back at the Morristown & Township Library, Claudine, starring Diahann Carroll and James Earl Jones, continues the weekly series 1974: Memorable Movies from Fifty Years Ago, at 6:45 pm. Free, light refreshments. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

Morristown’s St. Peter’s Episcopal Church hosts tango lessons in the Parish House, 7 pm for beginners, 8 pm intermediate class. At 70 Maple Ave.


FRIDAY, MAY 10:

Nefesh Mountain is coming to the Morristown Jewish Center Beit Yisrael to lead a Musical Kabbalat Shabbat a 7:30 pm, after a Children’s concert at 5:30 pm. Dinner price: $8-$18; children under 5, free. Register here. At 177 Speedwell Ave.

SATURDAY, MAY 11:

Just in time for Mother’s Day: The Garden Club of Morristown’s annual plant sale is from 8:30 am to 3 pm, at the New Vernon Firehouse.  At 22 Village Road.

The Morristown United Methodist Church concludes its 29th annual Rummage Sale, from 9 am to 2 pm. Admission: Free. ALL ITEMS 50 PERCENT OFF!!  Proceeds benefit the church’s summer mission trip to Appalachia.  At 50 South Park Place. Read our preview.

The Morristown & Township Library hosts Indoor Qigong at 9:30 am. Free. No experience or registration required. Upstairs in the F.M. Kirby Gallery, at One Miller Road, Morristown.

Celebrate National Public Gardens Day from 10 am to 1 pm in the garden of Morristown’s Macculloch Hall Historical Museum. Free. Special presentations by Eyes of the Wild at 10:30 am and Paws 4 a Cause Seeing Eye Puppy Club at 11:45 am. Dig into soil with a Soil Scientist. Nature scavenger hunts. Art activities in the garden.
