Sister Act by The Thirteen comes to Music on the Green in Morristown

Music on the Green logoThis Friday, February  26 at 8pm, The Thirteen chamber choir, directed by Matthew Robertson, explores the sound world of the high English Renaissance featuring works written for Queens Mary and Elizabeth by such composers as Tallis, Byrd, John Sheppard, William Mundy and more.  The performance takes place as part of the Music on the Green series at The Presbyterian Church in Morristown, 57 East Park Place (On the Green) in Morristown. Tickets $20 – purchase online or at the door. A wine and cheese reception with the artists follows the concert.

Described as having “a tight and attractive vocal and excellent choral discipline” by the American Record Guide, The Thirteen is a professional chamber ensemble composed of thirteen artists (12 singers and one conductor), founded in 2012. Specializing in the masterpieces of the Renaissance and Baroque and exploring repertoire through the present day, The Thirteen has garnered a reputation for inspired and powerful live performance.
