It’s going to take the public works department quite awhile to light all those candles… 275 of them, to be exact.

Morris Township will celebrate its milestone anniversary with a dinner dance on March 28, 2015, at the Madison Hotel.

The date is close to the real birthday–the Township was established on March 25, 1740, according to Deputy Mayor Bruce Sisler.

Tickets are $150 per person and are available here  or by calling the Township Administrator at  973-326-7360.  The dinner dance is the first of several anniversary festivities that will be announced, Sisler said.

“I hope to see everyone at the celebrations planned for this year, especially the dinner dance; we want to start the 275th Anniversary off right!” Sisler said via email. “Morris Township truly is the jewel of Morris County; it embodies all the attributes of an exceptional community.”
