Jonathan Edwards knows a thing or two about writing hit songs: Sunshine went gold in 1972 and has been a staple on easy-listening radio ever since.

So how do you top the charts?

Gotta Sing High,  Edwards advises in this tongue-in-cheek tune, penned by his pal, Kenny White.  Edwards performs it with gusto at The Minstrel in Morris Township, recorded on Nov. 21, 2014.

Looks like success never went to his head…or his feet. Despite frosty temperatures outside, Edwards performed barefoot…a habit he credits to a stint spent in the Caribbean.

Stay tuned for more gems from this concert, which also featured folk favorite Lucy Kaplansky. Next up at The Minstrel: Mike Agranoff, on Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, singing songs from his new CD, “Straight Lines.” Ken and Pat Rolston and Hen3ry Nerenberg open the 8 pm show. Tickets are $9, children 12 and under are free. At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road, Morris Township.
