Loads of costumed kids and adults turned out Saturday for Morris Plains’ fourth annual Pumpkin Illumination.
Superheroes were popular as always: A number of Batmen and Spidermen patrolled to keep everyone safe, along with the borough’s Finest.
The Counterfeiters cover band provided the musical accompaniment for the evening, belting out classic rock hits as well as hits from the 80s and 90s.
There were plenty of activities for the younger set, including mask painting, various treats, and cotton candy. Kids decorated storefronts along Speedwell Avenue with their best artistry to make the festive mood complete.
A number of local businesses entered pumpkins in the very competitive contest, with F45 Training coming out on top with its Morris Plains 100th anniversary pumpkin. The full list of winners is below:
First Place: F45 Training
Second Place: Geico Morris Plains
Third Place Tie: Morris Plains Cooperative Play School
Third Place Tie: Ugly Dumpling Morris Plains
