Nearby, Chatham got 20 inches, Parsippany reported 18, Madison 16.8, Randolph 16.3, and Brookside 11.5 from the weekend nor-easter, according to the federal agency.
And how about these numbers: Warwick, R.I., saw 36.2 inches. Central Islip, N.Y., 31. Lyndhurst, NJ, 30.7; Newark Airport, 27.2; LaGuardia Airport, 22.5.
The Morris School District will have two-hour delayed openings on Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026. The Sunrise program is canceled — but the show will go on for Morristown Onstage at 7 pm. Local officials are asking residents to shovel out fire hydrants.
NJ Transit announced that rail service on the Morristown, Gladstone & Montclair-Boonton Lines would resume operations on a Presidents’ Day schedule, “with all Midtown Direct service to Penn Station New York diverted to Hoboken. Cross honoring in Hoboken will be in effect with PATH (to 33rd St.), NY Waterway Ferry (to Midtown/W39th St.) and NJ TRANSIT 126 bus as part of the Portal Cutover adjustments.”
