A Morristown policeman sustained minor injuries when his patrol car was struck by drunk driver on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Officer Richard Rispoli was transported to Morristown Medical Center for evaluation after the 3:40 pm accident, Lt. Stuart Greer said in a statement.
Sean Aussem, 25, of Morris Township, was arrested at the crash scene and charged with drunk driving and careless driving.
His 2005 Jeep Wrangler traveled north on Market Street through the intersection into Rispoli’s patrol car, which was parked on the northbound side of West Park Place, Greer said.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage, the lieutenant said.
