It’s summer time, the season of detours!
Morristown police advices that on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, James Street will be closed from 8pm until midnight from Maple Avenue to South Street, because of construction.
Posted detours:
North on James Street, left onto Maple, right on Miller Road, left or right onto South Street.
West on South Street — continue straight onto South Street. Left onto Madison Street, left onto Maple and right onto James.
On Thursday, July 16, Verizon’s annual 5K returns, at 7:30 pm. Roads will close at 6:30 pm and reopen at 9 pm.
At 6:45 pm Speedwell Avenue (Route 202) between Spring Street and North Park Place (the Green) will be closed, with remaining closures at 7:30 pm, remaining closed until 9 pm.
Emergency vehicle traffic heading into Morristown South on Speedwell Avenue and East on Sussex Avenue should plan an alternate route.
Bus traffic should be relocated to the Morristown Train Station, 122 Morris St., for the duration of this event.
