Vacationing in Florida some years back, we discovered Rita’s frozen custard. So it was nice to find a Rita’s shop in Morristown on Speedwell Avenue.

Sadly, that shop melted away.  But another Rita’s officially opened on Saturday, on Wilmot Street in parking lot 10 (where the Morristown Farmers Market  can be found every Sunday through November).

Early-birds were rewarded with free frozen treats, and freelance artist  Erik Hendrickson was there to snap the ceremony.
