Oh, the things we do to our faithful pets.

We make them jump over poles.

We make them wear black leather.

We make them wear purple tutus.

Still, Sunday’s first annual Doggy Dash in Morristown was for a good cause: The Seeing Eye Inc.

“Everyone’s having fun. It’s all about having fun,” said Jim Kutsch, president of The Seeing Eye.

The event–a mile walk, a doggy costume pageant, kiddie face-painting and canine caricatures–attracted 300 people and 100 dogs, said Seeing Eye spokeswoman Michelle Barlak.

Kutsch said he hoped the day would raise $40,000 for the guide dog training school in Morris Township.
