The official number of people without electricity in Greater Morristown finally has been whittled down to a size that would make for a good softball game.

As of this morning, Nov. 12, some 14 town residents still lack power in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, according to Jersey Central Power & Light. In Morris Township, the official number is 9;  in Morris Plains, it’s 5 people.

NJ Transit has resumed limited rail service on the Morris & Essex Lines to New York. Inch by inch, life is returning to normal…whatever that is.
