Changing of the guard in Morristown GOP: Frank Vitolo and Richard Babcock get top spots

Frank Vitolo was unanimously chosen as chairman of the Morristown Republican Committee last night, replacing Ed Ramirez. Richard Babcock was selected vice-chairman.

“We are excited to start reaching-out and expanding the Party in Town,” Frank said via email.

Frank and Richard ran for council last year;  Alison Deeb is the lone Republican on the seven-member council. Four ward seats will be contested next year.

Frank is a lawyer with the Riker Danzig firm.

Richard is suing the town in an attempt to make town Attorney Vij Pawar file campaign spending disclosures, which the Democratic administration says are not legally mandated.
