Opera at Florham is excited to present its 33rd Annual International Vocal Competition. Established in 1987 by Opera at Florham co-founder Violetta DuPont, the competition showcases singers between the ages of 21 and 35 who are actively pursuing opera careers. Previous winners and finalists have graced the New York Metropolitan Opera and other recognized worldwide performance stages.

Ten to 12 finalists, selected from in person auditions in New York City on May 17-19, will perform before the public at the May 21 finals. Artistic Director Mary Pinto will accompany the singers. Mariana Karpatova, Opera at Florham Board trustee and vocal teacher at Fairleigh Dickinson University, will host.

The judges for the auditions and final competition are accomplished adjudicators renowned in the opera world. $14,000 in prizes will be awarded to the competition winners. Sponsors for the event are Marty Jeiven, Joseph DuPont in honor of his mother Violetta, and several anonymous donors.
