A special program featuring the unusual death and mourning traditions of the Victorian era is being offered at The Willows. What is strange and morbid by present day standards was accepted practice through much of the 19th century. Discover the importance of “the good”, the wake, garden cemeteries, post-mortem photography, and the stages of mourning that affected women the most. This special lecture is offered at The Willows at 1:00PM and 2:00PM, Wednesday through Sunday, October 4 through October 29. Appropriate for ages 12 and up
