As storms go, this nor-easter could have been a lot worse for Greater Morristown.

Morris Township police reported Punchbowl Road in near Independence Way was closed because of a downed tree.
As of Sunday afternoon, JCP&L was showing 42 customers without power in Morristown, and three in Morris Township. In Morris Plains, electricity was back for 55 customers who had been out, according to the utility’s website. Across Morris County, 1,900 customers, or less than one percent of the total, were awaiting restoration of power.

On the bright side, things should dry out starting on Tuesday. The forecast calls for a mostly sunny week with temperatures in the 70s. Ideal for next Sunday’s do-over of the Morristown Festival on the Green.
