From the Mayo Performing Arts Center:
Tonight — Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026 — the Mayo Performing Arts Center will present a free outdoor concert featuring New Jersey singer-songwriter Joshua Van Ness, whose soulful, raspy vocals and conversational songwriting blend classic influences with a contemporary sound.
The performance runs from 6 pm to 8 pm in front of Morristown’s Vail Mansion, at 110 South St., next to MPAC.
Van Ness, a guitarist and drummer, has performed with acts including The Wag, Remember Jones, The Bryan Hansen Band and Natalie Farrell, and has toured throughout the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Over the years, he has opened for artists including Richie Havens, Phillip Phillips, Gavin DeGraw, Ben Folds, Jefferson Starship and The Revivalists.
The concert also will feature 2026 Morristown ONSTAGE Audience Choice winner Garret Lash. In the event of rain, the performance will move to St. Peter’s Church Parish Hall, 70 Maple Ave., Morristown.
