Morristown Green correspondent Kristen Neymarc has lived in Paris, worked for a United Nations think tank, and been part of a Hoboken agency with ads on the Super Bowl.

Now she can add “ghostwriter” to her résumé.

Pioneer Productions will feature Kristen’s first play, Morristown Ghost Reboot, at 7 o’clock this evening, Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in the Morristown & Township Library.

It’s one of four short scripts from aspiring local playwrights that Pioneer actors will read aloud. The series kicked off last month, and will conclude on April 22. Admission is free. The library is at One Miller Road in Morristown.

Inspired by the saga of a “real” Morristown ghost from circa 1788, Kristen gives it a modern spin. When three teens discover a lost play about the 18th century apparition, “What they find inside it leaves them questioning what to do next,” according to the nonprofit community theater troupe.

Dan Vissers will direct actors Miriam Salerno, Tom Olori, and Jon Beeler.

Also on the program: Joisey??? Sure! by Sheri Flannery Verrilli; Writer’s Block by Michael Susko (with a cast that includes Morristown United Methodist Church Pastor Luana Cook Scott); and Behind Closed Doors by Bara Swain.

In recent months, Pioneer Productions presented Steel Magnolias and What the Constitution Means to Me in Morristown. Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along rolls into town in June.
