THURSDAY, JUNE 8, 2023:

Hazardous smoke from Canadian wildfires has prompted the library to cancel this week’s yoga session. The Morristown & Township Library hosts free yoga on its lawn at 10 am, and every Thursday through mid-October, weather-permitting. Call 973-538-6161 if the weather looks iffy.

Munah Hayes presents free Dance Fitness classes at 6 pm at the Marion Sally Residents Center, at 23 Clyde Potts Drive in Morristown. Register at 862-777-5355.

Jazz favorite Grover Kemble performs at Rockaway’s Caffé NaVona, 147 Route 46, from 6 – 9 pm. Hear him play songs from his new album, I’m Serious.

Hear eight Morristown High School students describe their specialized curricula at Life Design Night, at 6:30 pm in the MHS Auditorium, at 50 Early St.

The Folk Project’s Inside the Song series presents a livestream with Shanna in a Dress at 7 pm.

Morristown’s St. Peter’s Episcopal Church hosts tango lessons in the Parish House, 7 pm for beginners, 8 pm intermediate class. At 70 Maple Ave.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey in Madison presents Tennessee Williams’ The Rose Tattoo at 8 pm. Tickets: $34-$65. Runs through June 18, 2023. At 36 Madison Ave., 973-408-5600.

The Morris County Art Association studio hosts an opening reception for painter Mark de Moss, from 6 pm to 8 pm. At 10 Catherine Lane, Morristown.

Morristown High School’s broadcasting students show their talents at the MHS Film Festival, at 6:30 pm in the school media center. This year’s theme: Flashback! At 50 Early St.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents Happy Together 2023 at 7:30 pm. Tickets: $39-$89. At 100 South St., Morristown, 973-539-8008.

SATURDAY, JUNE 10:

The Morristown & Township Library hosts Indoor Qigong at 9:30 am. Free. No experience or registration required. Upstairs in the F.M. Kirby Gallery, at One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Museum of Early Trades and Crafts in Madison presents What’s the Buzz About Bees? at 11 am. Admission: $5. At 9 Main St.

The nonprofit Our Youth Their Future Inc. presents an Education and Awareness Rally at 1 pm, at Morristown’s Cauldwell Playground, One Clyde Potts Drive. Free music, food and entertainment. Prizes will be awarded for poetry, singing, dancing and comedy. Call 973-234-6029 to perform.

The Morristown National Historical Park continues its year-long 90th anniversary celebration with The Turncoat’s Widow, at 1 pm in the Washington’s Headquarters Museum. Free. Author Mally Becker will talk about her award-winning novel The Turncoat’s Widow, which is set primarily in and around Morristown, New York, and the Ford Mansion. She will be available to sign copies of the book afterward. Seating limited; first-come, first-served. At 30 Washington Place.

Whether Martha Washington or Dr. Jill Biden, the stresses and joys of being married to the President of the United States are as unique as each individual lady but as similar as the unofficial office they hold.” Seating limited, first-come, first-served.
