Heavy rain did not dampen Sunday’s celebration of National Animal Therapy Day in Morristown.
The nonprofit Creature Comfort Pet Therapy moved its event inside Headquarters Plaza, where Mayor Tim Dougherty and his wife Mary — avid dog owners–paid a visit.
Creature Comfort has more than 225 certified teams, which make more than 3000 visits annually.
The organization says pet therapy reduces stress and anxiety, improves mental health, and provides comfort and companionship for people of all ages.
Ace photographer Katharine Boyle captured the furry fun for Morristown Green.
