Celebrate National Therapy Animal Day
with Creature Comfort Pet Therapy on April 30th
Creature Comfort Pet Therapy, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the benefits of pet therapy to those in need, is hosting an event to celebrate National Therapy Animal Day on April 30, 2023.
The event will take place from 12:30-2:30pm at Pioneer Park at Headquarters Plaza (67 East Park Place, Morristown).
The highlight of the event will be a proclamation from Morristown Mayor Timothy Dougherty, recognizing the positive impact of pet therapy and the success of Creature Comfort Pet Therapy in providing healing comfort to thousands of people in the community.
Following the proclamation, volunteer pet therapy teams will take a celebratory walk around the Morristown Green, offering pet therapy to the public.
Pet therapy has been proven to have numerous wellness benefits for people of all ages, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving mental health, and providing a sense of comfort and companionship. The event aims to increase awareness of its benefits. Creature Comfort has over 225 certified teams making more than 3000 visits annually.
Creature Comfort Pet Therapy is also offering sponsor levels starting at $100, which will subsidize pet therapy visits to those who may not otherwise have access to it. As a sponsor, individuals and companies will be recognized at the event and on the organization’s social media platforms.

“We hope that people will come out to celebrate with us and support our efforts to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
