Morristown United Methodist Church Hosts Rummage Sale
to Support Appalachia Service Project Summer Work Team

Morristown UMC, located on the Green in Morristown, is hosting its 28th Rummage Sale supporting the church’s summer service trip to Appalachia through Appalachia Service Project.

The sale will be held over three days, starting Saturday, April 22, 2023, from 9 am to 2 pm. Additional sales dates are Wednesday, April 26, from 10 am-2 pm and 5 pm-8 pm and then again Saturday, April 29, from 9 am-2 pm.

Always a favorite event for the greater Morristown community, the sale features a wide range of gently used items. Four areas of the church are used to present items to buyers, which include household items, dishes, utensils, small appliances, toys, furniture, books, holiday items, office supplies, linens, furniture, electronics, DVD’s, CD’s, records, sports equipment, picture frames & prints, games, puzzles and children’s items.

Buyers are invited to peruse the “Boutique” room, set apart for jewelry, collectibles, and special treasures.

“The Rummage Sale is truly a Community event, with a capital ‘C’,” said Kyler Coutts, one of the coordinators of the church’s ASP team.

“From the donations that come in from all over Morris County, to the people power from our church, to the buyers who come by every year, it’s wonderful to see everyone come together to support the work of ASP through the sale.”

“We really love seeing how people find their special treasure when they come to the Rummage Sale, whether it’s something they were on the hunt for, or something they didn’t know they needed, but had to have!” adds Katlyn Houtz, ASP team co-coordinator.

Potential buyers can get a glimpse of what’s for sale on the church’s website, where photos have been posted along with sale information.
