WINTER FARMERS MARKET RETURNS FOR 10TH SEASON
Grow It Green Morristown presents weekly Sunday market December- April
Head outside on Sundays to the Morris Winter Farmers Market presented by local nonprofit Grow It Green Morristown!
With a wide variety of farmers, ranchers and makers, there is an amazing variety of vendors with exciting offerings.
The popular market returns to the Convent Train Station parking lot for the 2022/2023 season featuring many new vendors and a longer season that will extend through April 2023. The market will be open from 9:30 am – 1 pm on Sundays starting this Sunday, Dec. 4, 2022, until April 30, 2023 (closed Dec. 25, Jan. 1, April 9).
Come shop for a wide range of unique selections from winter produce to artisanal cheese, honey, prepared foods, local grains, baked goods, artisan breads, eggs, locally caught seafood, vegan offerings, fermented and preserved offerings and great holiday gifts!
The following vendors will be at the market on a weekly basis: Apple Ridge Farm, AquaSprout Farms, Barking Good Bakery, Bread and Culture, Catalina Empanadas, Chickadee Creek Farm, Dogwood Farms, The Foraged Feast, Glenmalure Farm, Grandma Emma’s Cobbler, Jersey Girl Cheese, Local 130 Seafood, Oldwick Soup, Paolo’s Kitchen, Pickle Licious, Pies and Quiches, Pineapple Pink, River Lea House Farm, River Valley Community Grains, Roastwell Coffee Roasters, Savoury Spoon Café, and Untamed Ferments and Willets Own. Come each week and catch our additional specialty vendors and fun activities!

The market focuses on connecting people while supporting vendors that make sustainable choices.
“Each year, Grow It Green increases the market’s impact locally and within the county to create access to fresh, sustainably grown food and support healthy communities,” said Lisa Alexander, Grow It Green’s executive director.
The market strengthens the economy as it reaches out to support entrepreneurs including woman and minority owned small business owners.
Not only does Grow It Green run the market, but it also brings produce from its local educational farm, The Urban Farm, once a month to help raise funds for its many programs.
“We are pleased to make this opportunity to support local farmers possible. In addition to selling fresh, local food, vendors serve as food educators, revitalizing the way consumers shop and eat. The market provides a place to get outside and reconnects people to each other and their local food system,” stated Farmer Shaun Ananko, director of agriculture and education for Grow It Green.
With easy SNAP transactions, recipients are welcomed to buy healthy and fresh produce with a “double bucks” program. Customers can double the buying power of SNAP federal food benefit dollars through the Garden State Good Food Network by checking in at Grow It Green’s Market Information tent first. Say hello to Gonzales, and the team of volunteers that make the market possible each week.
The market is steps away from Saint Elizabeth University, St. Thomas More Catholic Church and the Madison Hotel off Convent Road and Route 124/ Madison Avenue– a short drive from many local towns. The market offers many easily accessible options to be reached on local paths, by bike and via public transportation on NJ Transit–now that’s sustainable!
