From Morristown High School Theatre:
MHS Theatre and Good Grief Team Up for Community Outreach
The Morristown High School Theatre is partnering with Good Grief as part of a community outreach initiative for the upcoming production, She Kills Monsters.
She Kills Monsters is a dramatic comedy that tells a story about sisters, and coping with loss through role playing in a Dungeons and Dragons game, as well as building friendships and finding oneself in the process.
Good Grief is a nonprofit organization that provides unlimited free peer support to children, teens, young adults and families after the death of a mother, father, sister or brother.
With locations in Morristown and Princeton, Good Grief builds resilience in children, strengthens families, and empowers communities to grow from loss and adversity.
Representatives from Good Grief will be present during intermission on show dates, Dec. 1- 4, 2022, to share information about their services.
About She Kills Monsters
The Morristown High School Theatre will perform the dramatic comedy, She Kills Monsters, by Qui Nguyen, from Dec. 1-4, 2022.
Set in Athens, Ohio, and the imaginary land of New Landia in 1995, She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans, a high school student who lost her younger sister, Tilly, in a car accident.
When Agnes finds Tilly’s notebook, she uncovers a “Dungeons and Dragons” campaign that Tilly created. With the help of Chuck, the Dungeon Master, Agnes dives into the game and gets a glimpse into her sister’s secret life, discovering the Tilly she never knew.
Complete with sword fights and mystical creatures, this production is sure to thrill audiences and warm hearts
