Calling all visual artists and performers: Morris Arts has summer opportunities for you to sell your artwork and play for supportive audiences.
Slots are available for Meet Me in Morristown, the monthly sidewalk festival. Artist spaces also can be reserved for the 38th Annual Giralda Music & Arts Festival in Madison on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
Meet Me in Morristown returns this Thursday, May 26, 2022, at the Morristown Green, with encores on June 30 (Vail Mansion lawn), July 28 (the Green) and Aug. 25 (Vail lawn).
Downtown businesses may have sidewalk displays on these days, in cooperation with the Morristown Partnership. Art and entertainment runs from 5 pm to 9 pm. Registration for artists and performers is $25 per event and is nonrefundable. Rain dates for Meet Me in Morristown are the next Friday.
Register here for an art space at the Giralda Festival. Registration deadline for this event is June 3. This $25 fee also is nonrefundable.
Giralda’s gates open for the public at 4 pm on festival day Chico Alvarez & the Palomonte Afro-Cuban Big Band will perform at 4:30 pm, followed by the New Jersey Symphony at 6 pm.
Picnics are encouraged, and activities include an art show/sale, the Montclair Art Museum Art Truck, OMG Bubbles and these food trucks: Señor Tacos, Aroy-D, the Thai Elephant and NJ Delicious Vintage Ice Cream. Rain location: Mennen Arena.
Giralda tickets are $20 for adults and $4 for ages 4-11, when purchased in advance; under 4, free. Tickets also may be bought at LOKL Cafe in Morristown.
