Hundreds rally for abortion rights in Morristown

Waving signs declaring “Hands Off my Uterus” and “If You Cut Off My Reproductive Rights, Can I Cut Off Yours?,” hundreds of abortion rights activists rallied Saturday on the Morristown Green.

They were among thousands nationwide who participated in Bans Off Our Bodies events, responding to a leaked draft of a pending Supreme Court decision to overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade opinion that guaranteed women’s rights to abortions a half-century ago.

Similar rallies were held in Montclair and Princeton.

  1. Good to see so many care about their rights. This is not just a woman’s issue. I don’t expect others to be forced to share my beliefs but can’t understand why others should be able to force their personal beliefs on me.
