Wind advisory for Greater Morristown into March 8

A strong cold front will barrel through Greater Morristown on Monday evening, bringing showers, possible thunderstorms, and gusts of up to 60 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

A wind advisory is effect until 1 am on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

“The gusty wind will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be brought down with some power outages possible,” the service cautions.

“Use extra caution while driving, especially if you are operating a large vehicle. Be sure to secure outdoor objects such as trash bins and lawn furniture.”

Southwest winds of 20- to 30 mph are likely, with gusts of 50 mph on Monday afternoon. Winds will be west to northwest into the evening, according to the forecast.
