Morristown High School Students Knit for Charity–and the Environment

Morristown High School Environmental Club members learned how to knit and crochet from their peers and were pleased to complete 18 garments for their first Charitable Needle Arts donation on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021.

Student club members are earning community service hours for each completed garment and look forward to participating in two more events this winter.  Faculty advisor Christine Heinicke is pleased to report that the Charitable Needle Arts members of the MHS Environmental Club delivered 13 hats and five scarves to the Jersey Battered Women’s Shelter

The students used donated and repurposed yarn to make their projects.

Honorable mention goes to the following club members who submitted completed projects for the JBWS: Isis Bookhart, Lizbeth Calle, Carol Chimborazo, Eva Farbman, Emma Fairbourne, Elizabeth Holden, Shaila Joshi, Alexia Kallis, Emma Klein, Prittha Palkar, and Sarah Thabit.
