Some 1,655 hardy souls finished Thursday’s 15th annual Read Feed Run Turkey Trot in Morris Township, according to the official tally.
And they raised nearly $93,000 for the Interfaith Food Pantry and Literacy Volunteers of Morris County, while shedding calories ahead of Thanksgiving dinner.
Township Committeeman Bud Ravitz handled the starter duties.
The top three male finishers in the 5K:
Patrick Hanley of Arlington (5:08), Vincent DeLucia of Parsippany (5:13) and Peter Ehmann of Morristown (5:13).
For the ladies:
Jennifer Martin of Morristown (6:10), Avery Schiffman of New Vernon (6:17) and Ariana Bauer of Greystone Park (6:25). Martin’s feat is especially noteworthy because she is more than twice the age of the second-place finisher.
