Shoppers came through for the Morris County Interfaith Food Pantry over the weekend, filling a Morristown police cruiser with 1,844 pounds of food.
The public also donated $1,029, said Lt. Michael Molnar, who helped organize the annual event outside the Kings supermarket on Saturday.
“Everyone was incredibly generous this year, setting a new record in food and monetary donations,” said Molnar.
He was assisted by his daughter, Elizabeth, 15; and Capt. Stuart Greer, Sgt. Beverly Downey, and Officers Calean Starnes, Paul Johnson and Michael Alberto.
Another example of what makes Morristown such a special place to live and work.
