After taking a holiday last year, Christmas cheer returns full-throttle to Morristown in 2021.

The pandemic put Santa behind glass last season. But he’s taking up residence once more on the historic Morristown Green, starting on Sunday, Nov. 28, with festivities from 5 pm to 8 pm.

You’ll find him in his Santa House each weekend through Dec. 19, where he’ll take Christmas wish lists and pose for $10 photos.

Free entertainment will include arts and crafts, ice sculpting, performances by the Original Music School, and miniature train rides. The fun runs from noon to 7 pm on the weekends, and from 3 pm to 8 pm on three successive Fridays in December.

Another favorite: Merry Tuba Christmas. Dozens of tubists and euphonists from the tri-state area will converge on the Green for a concert of holiday classics on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 3 pm.  An international happening for decades, Merry Tuba Christmas has brightened spirits in Morristown since 2012.
