Pinot’s Palette in Morristown, Oct. 21, 2021, from 7 pm to 9 pm

The Whippany River Watershed Action Committee (WRWAC) is happy to host “Paint the Whippany” on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Pinot’s Palette in Morristown, New Jersey. The painting event is a fundraiser for the Whippany River Watershed Action Committee (WRWAC).

While the event is limited in space, the entertainment is limitless as it includes a guided painting session led by an artist, delicious food by Encore Catering and door prizes.

The cost is $100/person with a portion of the proceeds going to protecting our water supply and planet. The painting session begins at 7 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm) and will contain two hours of fun and entertainment. Space is limited. Early registration is your best bet to secure your space.

“Classes are fun whether you’re a novice or an experienced painter. The instructors are prepared to lend a helping hand if necessary,” says Jackie Shiavone, studio manager, Pinot’s Palette. “Although everyone paints the same image, they all look different in the end and everyone leaves feeling like an artist.”

Larry Gindoff, WRWAC vice chair and treasurer envisioned the event a few years ago but the event was put on hold due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.

“A painting party with friends is an easy way to have fun while creating a keepsake of the Whippany River which we are working so hard to protect. I thought a painting party at Pinot’s Palette would be a great way to have fun while paying homage to the River. You never visualize nature the same after you paint it. I thought a painting party would give the opportunity for others to learn about the River and see the River in a new light.”

To register for the event, visit the WRWAC website . If mailing your check, please have your check postmarked no later than Oct. 13. All proceeds go to protect our water supply and planet.

The Whippany River Watershed Action Committee is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to preserve, protect and maintain the land and water resources of the Whippany River. To make a donation, visit www.wrwac.org.
