From The African American Wellness Coalition:

The African American Wellness Coalition is sponsoring a virtual Women’s Night Out on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021,

A collaborative effort of Morris County organizations and churches, Women’s Night Out will provide education on women’s health.  Most importantly, we want to encourage women to have their mammograms, as early detection is imperative for treating breast cancer.

Dr. Sarah O. Chima will be speaking on breast health.  We will have a session on wellness by Lisa Charles and Jeannie Holman, who will be leading a Zumba activity.

The African American Wellness Coalition is sponsored by the Atlantic Health System, which also is sponsoring this event.

Partnering organizations are Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc., Pi Theta Omega Chapter; Bethel Church of Morristown, Calvary Baptist Church, The Church of God In Christ For All Saints, Cornerstone Family Programs and the Morristown Neighborhood House; Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., Morristown Alumnae Chapter; Jack and Jill of America Corporation-Morris County Chapter, Morris County (NJ) Chapter of The Links Incorporated, Mount Zion Church The Church For The Community, National Association for the Advancement of Colored People-Morris County Chapter, and the Regional Morris & Somerset County Chronic Disease & Cancer Coalition.
