From the Morris School District:

MSD Technology Team gives back!

On June 30, 2021, the Morris School District Technology team delivered 40 Chromebooks and chargers to a nonprofit in Morris Plains called Family Promise, an agency that helps homeless families of Morris County get back on their feet.

One of their final steps after housing families is to equip them with technology for their own needs as well as their children’s.

MSD Technology Director Erica Hartman and technician Adam Casadevall spent time with Family Promise staff members to review steps on how to use a Chromebook and create a gmail account.

Recipients of the Chromebooks will use them to write resumes, search for employment, and access academic information about their children. The next collaboration will be for MSD to provide virtual support on topics such as accessing district portals and keeping students and families safe online.
