Impact 100 Garden State Announces Transformational $100,000 Grants for 2021

 

Impact 100 Garden State announced the organization’s 2021 grant recipients on Wednesday, June 16, during a virtual event attended by more than 200 people.

Members voted to award three $100,000 grants to the following nonprofit organizations for programs that will benefit residents in Impact 100 Garden State’s five-county service area:  Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex and Union.

 

Community Options Enterprises, Northern New Jersey
Program: Workforce Development for People with Disabilities

Norwescap, Phillipsburg

Program: Expanding Economic Opportunity for Women & Families in North Plainfield, Somerset County

Family Promise of Sussex County, Newton
Program: Housing Hope: Because Everyone Deserves a Home

Impact 100 Garden State, an all-women philanthropic organization, annually pools members’ $1,000 donations to award grants with transformational impact. This year, 54 nonprofit organizations applied for grants.

Each $100,000 grant recipient partners with Impact 100 Garden State to develop a mutually agreeable plan for receiving these funds when important milestones are achieved.  Impact 100 Garden State has awarded $2.4 million to nonprofits in its service area since its founding in 2013.

“Our connection with our grant recipients is about much more than a check,” says Debby Seme, president, Impact 100 Garden State. “We look forward to a long-term supportive relationship with each of these exceptional organizations.”

In addition to the three $100,000 grants, seven merit grants of $8,000 each were awarded on June 16th to:

Adult Day Center of Somerset County (Bridgewater)

Boys & Girls Clubs of Paterson and Passaic (Passaic)

Children’s Literacy Initiative (Passaic)

Family Promise Union County (Summit)

Literacy New Jersey (Roselle)

Partners for Women and Justice (Bloomfield)

Wharton Institute for the Performing Arts (New Providence)
