THURSDAY, JUNE 24, 2021:

The COVID Class of ’21 graduates at Morristown High School at 10 am. Congratulations, grads–you have proven you are resilient and can roll with life’s punches. May your next chapter be filled with happiness and fulfillment!

Relax and decompress at 10 am, with yoga on the side lawn of The Morristown &  Township Library. Please wear a mask to enter and exit the session, and bring your own yoga mat and desired equipment. The event is open to all ability levels and no sign-up is required.

Jazz favorite Grover Kemble performs at Rockaway’s Caffe Navona, 147 Route 46, from 6 – 9 pm.

Learn about Medicinal Plants of the Civil War, at 7 pm via Zoom with Lesley Parness, former superintendent of horticultural education with the Morris County Park Commission and member of the Herb Society of America. FRIDAY, JUNE 25:

The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts in Madison starts its free summer concert series at 6 pm with classic rock from the Jumping the Gun Band. Bring a lawn chair and dancing shoes!  At 9 Main St., (973) 377-2982.

Summer concerts are back in Madison!

The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents The Soft Parade, a 30th anniversary tribute to The Doors, at 7:30 pm. Tickets: $29-$49.  At 100 South St., Morristown, 973-539-8008.

At 7:30 pm,  The Folk Project presents a Troubadour At Home Live Concert, featuring Robinson & Rohe.  In-person tickets to this home concert in Rockaway Township are $10.50, with required proof of vaccination against COVID-19. Location and details will be sent with purchase confirmation. Livestream access is free.

SATURDAY, JUNE 26:

The Morris Plains Farmers Market is back, every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm until Oct. 9, 2021. Hosting eight vendors, and special guests. At 771 Speedwell Ave.

Grow It Green Morristown’s Saturday Farm Stand is back, each week through Oct. 30, 2021 from 10 am to 2 pm, at the Urban Farm, 31 Hazel St.  Locally grown, pesticide-free produce.

Meet WBO Heavyweight Champ (and Olympic gold medalist) Ray Mercer and enjoy a free afternoon of amateur boxing, at 1 pm at the Cauldwell Park playground in Morristown, courtesy of Allstar Amateur Boxing. Bring a lawn chair! at 1 Clyde Potts Drive.


SUNDAY, JUNE 27:

The Morristown Farmers Market is back, every Sunday through Nov. 21, 2021, from 8:30 am to 1 pm, in parking lot 10J, behind the Morristown Post Office at Spring and Morris Streets. The Morristown Partnership welcomes 17 new vendors this year. Persons at high risk for COVID-19, as defined by the CDC, may be admitted early, at 8 am.

Friends of Steve Hogan (Morristown High ’97) are hosting HogieFest, a musical fundraiser to help him overcome pancreatic cancer, from 2 pm to 8 pm at Bernie’s Hillside Lounge in Chester, at 125 Hillside Road. Featured acts include The Spare Tire Band, Divided Sky, Terra Filia, Dave Murphy, and Hogie himself. Tickets are $40 in advance, $30 at the show. Read our preview.

Take a free half-hour virtual tour of Thomas Nast’s political cartoons, with Ryan Hyman, curator of the collection at Morristown’s Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, at 2 pm. Register here for your Zoom link.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Chamber Players perform a program of Broadway, Walker and Dvorak at 3 pm in the Mayo Performing Arts Center. Tickets: $39-$49. At 100 South St., Morristown, 973-539-8008.

For more original music, join The Folk Project for Joe Guzzo’s Stayaway Sundays Show at 3 pm. Each week, Guzzo presents fans with video performances from events past, interviews with performers, and his own take on the world of music.

TUESDAY, JUNE 29: The ever- popular Kootz Band returns to Morris Township’s free summer concert series at Ginty Field. Show time is 7 pm. Bring lawn chairs or beach blankets!  On Woodland Avenue, across from the municipal building.

  1. Wow…. This is going to a great day of excitement, and fun for the kids. From 3-5 pm there will be free food for all the children. Which includes hot dogs, hamburgers, chips and other snacks. It’s gonna be hot. Cold water is free and bring a chair. Can’t wait to see you there!!!
