Morris Township police are asking for the public’s help locating 17-year-old Laila Burton.
She was last seen on Friday, June 18, 2021, around 2:45 pm, entering a small grey hatchback on West Hanover Avenue, police said on Tuesday.
Burton was wearing grey sweatpants and a light grey sweatshirt. Police said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance; she appeared to get into the vehicle of her own accord.
Possible destinations include Morristown, Newark, East Hanover and Emerson, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to call 911 and/or the Morris Township Police Department at 973-539-0777 .
