Sure, it was blazing hot on Sunday.

But Emma Patrimonio wasn’t going to miss the Second Annual Morris Plains Community Band Festival.

Because of the pandemic, she hadn’t seen a live performance in about a year-and-a-half, since graduating with a music history degree from Montclair State University.

And her boyfriend’s ensemble, the Imperial Brass Band of Westfield, was among the 17 bands playing. Here’s a video sample:
