THURSDAY, APRIL 8, 2021:
Restaurant Month continues in Morristown: Check here for participating restaurants and giveaways, from the Morristown Partnership.
Local jazz favorite Grover Kemble performs weekly at Rockaway’s Caffe Navona, 147 Route 46, from 6 – 9 pm.
The Morristown and Morris Township Library presents two virtual sessions, starting at 10 am with the Morning Book Club’s dive into Tara Westover’s memoir Educated. At 7 pm, the Virtual Classics Book Club tackles The Remains of the Day, by Nobel laureate Kazuo Ishiguro. Both events are free. FRIDAY, APRIL 9:
At 7 pm, The Folk Project Acoustic Stayaway brings back a fan favorite: Open Stage. The virtual event will kick off with two featured performers. Then, audience members can perform two-song sets. Free. Email here to sign up for slot.

The Folk Project’s Acoustic Stayaway series continues at 7 pm, when musical group South for Winter takes the virtual stage. The trio is known for blending jazz, blues, and folk to create a distinct, memorable sound. Free to watch, with all donations going to the artists.
This week’s installment of the National Geographic Live Virtual Speaker Series will focus on women and migration. Photographers Danielle Villasana, Miora Rajaonary, and Saiyna Bashir and photo editor Jennifer Samuel will discuss their new project documenting the motivations, processes, and results of “feminized migration.” Presented online at 7 pm by the Mayo Performing Arts Center.
