THURSDAY, MARCH 25, 2021:

Local jazz favorite Grover Kemble performs weekly at Rockaway’s Caffe Navona, 147 Route 46, from 6 – 9 pm.

At 7 pm, the Morristown & Morris Township Library presents its virtual Book Lovers’ Circle, a forum to share thoughts on recent reads and share recommendations. Email the program coordinator, with your full name and town of residence for the Zoom access code.

Visit Ireland, without any masks or COVID tests: The Morristown & Township Library transports you to the Emerald Isle via its Virtual Travel Series at 7 pm.  Email here, include your first and last name and town of residence, and include “Ireland” in the subject line, for Zoom access.

At precisely 7:14 pm, the North Jersey Civil War Round Table presents Hail to the Chiefs: Two Presidents — One War. Dr. Bruce Chadwick, a professor of history and prolific author, will analyze the dueling careers, personalities, and outcomes of Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis, the first and only President of the Confederacy.  Email here  for the Zoom access link.

 

 


FRIDAY, MARCH 26:

May Erlewine

At 7 pm, the Folk Project’s Acoustic Stayaway features singer-songwriter May Erlewine, a Michigander who will bring her poignant, authentic lyrics to the virtual stage. The virtual event is free, with all donations going to the artist.

 

 


SATURDAY, MARCH 27, PASSOVER BEGINS:

To all of our friends who celebrate today, Happy Passover!

Singer Brynn Stanley finds the silver linings in family quarantine, in her House Arrest pandemic concerts, live from from her living room, every week at 8 pm.

Taj Mahal and Fantastic Negrito team up at 9 pm for a can’t-miss virtual blues performance, carried by the Mayo Performing Arts Center. Tickets to the live-streamed event:$25 to $65. Call 973-539-8008.


SUNDAY, MARCH 28:

We know it’s really spring…because this is the season finale for the Winter Farmers Market.  It concludes from 10 am to 1 pm, outdoors on the parking deck of the Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morris Township. Sponsored by Grow It Green Morristown, an authorized SNAP retailer, the market features local farmers and artisans. All COVID safety protocols will be observed. At-risk customers may browse from 9:30 am to 10 am.

If you just can’t get enough original music, join The Folk Project for Joe Guzzo’s Stayaway Sundays Show at 3 pm. Each week, Guzzo presents fans with video performances from events past, interviews with performers, and his own take on the world of music.

Dwight Yoakam presents One Time Live: Buenas Noches from a Lonely Room at 9 pm. This livestream, carried by the Mayo Performing Arts Center, is part of a three-episode series, each featuring a complete performance of a Yoakam album by his band. Virtual access: $20, call 973-539-8008.

TUESDAY, MARCH 30:

The Folk Project’s Acoustic Stayaway presents singer-songwriter Jenner Fox at 7 pm.  Fox is known as a captivating storyteller. Free, with all donations going to the artists.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents a 7 pm live-stream, the National Geographic Virtual Speakers Series: Mysterious Seas, featuring two marine biologists. Tickets: $15, call 973-539-8008.
