One year in, most of us would like to forget the pandemic.

Katelyn Woebse says it’s important to remember.

“My heart was yearning for how to make sense of it all,” says the Morristown High graduate, who shares memories of her dad, Darell Johnson, in this episode of The Morristown Green Podcast.

The numbers are staggering: 500,000 dead across the country. Some 22,000 of them, in New Jersey. Nearly 1,000 here in Morris County.

Every number has a name, and every name leaves behind someone like Katelyn, struggling to comprehend what an invisible invader has wrought.

In a new series called “What Do You Know?,” the MG Podcast asks our neighbors what life has taught them.

Katelyn, a 23-year-old volunteer firefighter raised in a bi-racial family, learned a lot from her dad.

She has learned a lot from COVID, too, in this unforgettable year.

This is her story.
