Standing in Solidarity with our Asian-American Community

The Diversity Coalition of Morris County (DCMC) is a non-political coalition of 30-plus faith-based and other organizations within Morris County.

The DCMC shares the common belief that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, and understanding. We stand in solidarity with our Asian American community and decry the recently escalating attacks on Asian Americans around the country.

We strongly encourage all citizens within our community to stand up for our neighbors from all backgrounds and report any instances of discrimination or abuse to local authorities first.

In addition to local police, incidents should be reported to the local FBI field office, (973) 792-3000, and to the NJ Attorney General’s Office via email, or by calling the Bias Hotline at 800-277-BIAS (2427).

Additionally, the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) provides a Hate Crimes Resource Center and Hate Crimes Task Force at standagainsthate@napaba.org, which addresses hate-related incidents in the community.
