Morris Township Democrats to Hold Virtual Fundraiser
Featuring Talk on “First 100 Days of a Presidency”
Professor and attorney Dr. Ian Drake of Montclair University will speak virtually on The First 100 Days of a Presidency on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Drake will provide a comparative overview of what various presidents have achieved in their first months in office. The talk will be followed by a question-and-answer session.
Drake has a doctorate in history from the University of Maryland and a law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science and Law at Montclair State University.
He has written and spoken on topics ranging from product liability law, property and privacy rights, and the electoral college, to animal protection rights and federal tort reform.
The virtual event will also include special Democratic guests and brief remarks by the Morris Township candidates for Township Committee. George Quillan, chair of the Morris Township Democratic Committee, also will address the group.
The donation is $30 and an RSVP deadline is March 2. To attend and receive a gift of wine and chocolates from Gary’s Wine and Marketplace, the donation is $55, and an RSVP must be received by Feb. 26. Any questions and RSVPs should be sent here.
