THURSDAY, FEB. 11, 2021:

The Morristown & Township Library’s Virtual Morning Book Club presents an 10 am Zoom discussion of Ann Napolitano’s Dear Edward.  Email here for a link to the talk.

The County College of Morris continues its War, Peace & Healing virtual series at 12:30 PM with A Conversation with Shan Wallace, a photographer whose works are inspired by the “harsh racial, social and economic realities” of her surroundings in Baltimore. Email here for a Zoom link.

Local jazz favorite Grover Kemble performs weekly at Rockaway’s Caffe Navona, 147 Route 46, from 6 – 9 pm.

FRIDAY, FEB. 12:

The Acoustic Stayaway series from The Folk Project continues at 7 pm with its virtual Valentine’s Day Extravaganza: Love songs, odes, mash notes, stories…share them, and maybe win a dinner for two.


SATURDAY, FEB. 13:

The Morris County Park Commission hosts maple sugaring demonstrations at 1 pm and 2:30 pm, every Saturday through March 13, 2021, at the Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center in Chatham. Cost: $5 per person, free for children under age 3. Pre-registration required. Call 973-635-6629 for more

The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents Acute Inflections for A Jazzy Love Affair, an autobiographical tale of romance from this fan-favorite Bass and Voice duo, at 7:30 pm on MPAC’s main stage. In-person tickets, $29-$49; live stream, $25.

SUNDAY, FEB. 14, VALENTINE’S DAY:

The Winter Farmers Market is back, every Sunday through March 28, 2021, from 10 am to 1 pm, outdoors on the parking deck of the Morris Museum, 6 Normandy Heights Road, Morris Township. Sponsored by Grow It Green Morristown, an authorized SNAP retailer, the market features local farmers and artisans. All COVID safety protocols will be observed. At-risk customers may browse from 9:30 am to 10 am.

In celebration of Presidents Day  (Feb. 15), Acorn Hall in Morristown presents a 1:30 pm talk about Presidential Inauguration Invitations and State of the Union AddressesAt 68 Morris Ave.

Opera at Florham presents Opera’s Greatest Love Stories, with love-themed arias and duets, at 3 pm in St. Margaret of Scotland Church in Morristown. A livestream also will be available. Tickets: $10-$28.

If you just can’t get enough original music, join The Folk Project for Joe Guzzo’s Stayaway Sundays Show at 3 pm. Each week, Guzzo presents fans with video performances from events past, interviews with performers, and his own take on the world of music.
