Tickets onsale for virtual Morristown Onstage competition

Tickets now are onsale for Morristown Onstage, the annual fundraising competition for the Morris School District.

Prices are $25, $50 and $100 to watch the March 10, 2021, contest online. Fourteen acts will compete for prizes via video performances they are recording themselves in their homes.

14th Annual Talent Show Will Be Streamed Online Wednesday, March 10

Morristown, NJ (Feb. 10, 2021) – Virtually Together! The Morris Educational Foundation (MEF) today announced that tickets are now on sale for its 14th annual Morristown ONSTAGE talent event. Featuring the best amateur talent from Morristown, Morris Plains and Morris Township, the all virtual show will be streamed live on Wednesday, March 10 at 7:00pm EST.

With one month until the 14 talented acts bring their inspired performances online, supporters from near and far can purchase tickets to view this year’s premier fundraising event.

After tickets are purchased online, ticket holders will receive a unique link to view the streamed event the day of the show via email. The link also provides access to view the Luxury Raffle pull live outside the Mayo Performing Arts Center as the winning tickets are randomly selected before the Morristown ONSTAGE winners are announced at the end of the show.

Prizes include the Grand Prize of a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4×4, 1st Prize Aires Jewelers Diamond Pave Necklace, 2nd Prize Dinner & A Show Package from South + Pine American Eatery and Mayo Performing Arts Center or 3rd Prize one of three $100 gift certificates from Morristown Partnership.

 “We are very excited to be able to produce a virtual event this year and are so proud of how the community has responded to our 14th annual show, said Melanie Smith, Morristown ONSTAGE event chair and vice chair of the Morris Educational Foundation Board of Trustees.

“It validates that our theme this year – Together We Can – is absolutely the right one! We have assembled an amazing group of performers and are looking forward to showcasing them to the community and our sponsors on March 10th.”

The finalists will compete for one of two 1st place $1,000 cash prizes – one for contestants ages 19 and over and one for contestants ages 18 and under, who will also have the opportunity to perform in the 2022 Morristown ONSTAGE event at Mayo Performing Arts Center.

Additionally, $500 will be awarded for the “Audience Choice” Winner, which is a “text-to-vote” at the end of the show, a $250 Rossoff Rising Star Award for talent training chosen by the Morristown ONSTAGE Steering Committee, and the New York Jets Take Flight Award to the top two vocalists to audition to sing the national anthem during a New York Jets home game.

The theme for this year’s event is Together We Can, a belief of unity, support and perseverance. Together with the community members, Morristown ONSTAGE 2021 is bringing traditional and new ways to contribute to the success of the show including event sponsorship opportunities and its first-ever Luxury Raffle.

A clickable Morristown ONSTAGE Online Ad Journal is another new element for the show, which will be emailed to ticket holders a few days leading up to the show. A panel of distinguished arts and entertainment professionals will judge the competition. Returning as the Master of Ceremonies and host of the show is Morristown resident and Senior Content Producer at PEOPLE (the TV show!), Tara Bernie, who was awarded an Emmy for her work as the Senior Correspondent on DailyMailTV.

Morristown Onstage 2021 is a virtual event that will be viewed online. Tickets to view Morristown ONSTAGE are available for purchase online here.

A unique link will be shared with ticket holders the day of the event, March 10, 2021, via email.

Morristown ONSTAGE was created to further the Morris Educational Foundation’s ability to distribute financial and other resources to and for the Morris School District. The 2020 event raised over $175,000 for the MEF.
