Congressional drama shifts from Washington to Morristown this week.
Eye Productions Inc. of Brooklyn will be shooting a pilot episode for CBS at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

Ways & Means centers on a powerful congressman, played by Patrick Dempsey of Grey’s Anatomy fame. Fed up with the political system, he secretly teams with an idealistic young congresswoman from across the aisle to break the gridlock.
The campus of St. Peter’s will be closed from Monday, Jan. 25, through Thursday, Jan. 28, 2021, to accommodate the production.
Fees from the filming will go towards cameras for the church to stream worship services and future events, according to Rector Anne Thatcher.
Formerly titled The Whip, Ways & Means is co-written by Republican political consultant Mike Murphy and Ed Redlich, from SEAL Team. Dempsey is the executive producer.
Morristown police say the production company will be reserving parking for its vehicles on Tuesday, Jan. 26, and Wednesday, Jan. 27, on these streets:
- Maple Avenue between Community Place and Miller Road
- Maple Avenue between Miller Road and Perry Street (a half Block closer to Miller Road)
- Miller Road between South Street and Maple Avenue
Pretty awesome!
Wow, I agree with Matt !
Thank you, Ramona.
Hi – wanted to thank Kevin Coughlin for the stories and photos on the Morristown Green site. I loved the St. Peter’s bells story. That was my church years ago when I lived in Morristown. I’m sure your stories are really appreciated by former Morristown folks like me. Keep up the good work!
That’s cool!
